Breath is one of the most powerful tools that we all have at our disposal at all times.

It is no coincidence that within this intelligent and hugely complex machine called human body, we have our breath which can directly affect many bodily functions and yet we don’t often realise the power that lies within establishing strong relation with the breath.

The more I work with various breathing techniques, the more convinced I am that what was known about breath for thousands of years, deserves acknowledgement and deeper exploration.

In different languages the word for Breath is the same word to describe – Spirit, God, Soul and precious Life Force Energy! Breathwork has been used in different ways in many ancient traditions, not only to health the body on the physical level but also as an important tool through journey to spiritual awakening.

During the Deep Breathwork Journeys, we use connected circular breathing through the mouth for about 45 minutes non-stop. We also use music and shamanic drumming as a catalyst to access deep emotion and unconscious thoughts, feelings and emotions and tensions along with deep circular breathing. Some people experience accessing ‘non-ordinary states of consciousness’ which facilities self-exploration, deep healing and often profound transformations.

Every session starts with warm ups in form of movement; stretching and often some short breathwork exercise to prepare your body. Safety is an important part of the class, and we will always go through checklist before the journey begins. After the class we will do some downregulating breathing techniques. Some suggestions and ideas for integration work will be mentioned at the end of the class as well.

“We are not just highly evolved animals with biological computers embedded inside our skulls; we are also fields of consciousness without limits, transcending time, space, matter, and linear causality.”

— Stanislav Grof
